At the direction of the Section Chief, the Physician Assistant will provide health care including the assessment of physical and psychosocial status, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests, interpretation of data, implementation of therapeutic plans and follow-through as needed, and progress notes. The Physician Assistant will also provide health education and counseling to patients and/or family members and assist with the integration of care by other providers and make appropriate referrals to other services as indicated.
Qualifications:- Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician’s Assistant in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Master’s level.
- Demonstrated understanding of orthopaedics, spine and pain management, and management of patients with spine and pain disorders.
- Previous experience in orthopaedics, pain medicine, and spine health is preferred, but not required.
This is a full-time, salaried, benefited position. This position schedule is five, eight-hour day shifts per week, with the possibility of a four, ten-hour day schedule. An academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested.
