The Section of Rheumatology at Dartmouth Health and Department of Pediatrics at Dartmouth Health Children’s and The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seek a board certified/board-eligible Pediatric Rheumatologist. The Section of Rheumatology is based in the Dartmouth Health Department of Medicine, with its members providing ongoing care for all pediatric musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases in Dartmouth Health Children’s clinical sites.
Dartmouth Health Children’s provides an extended system of care with primary, specialty, and advanced tertiary pediatric services, including an inpatient pediatric unit with PICU, level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and level III NICU at its flagship Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). Dartmouth Health Children’s also operates a comprehensive ambulatory specialty center at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester, the largest city in the state, and 10 pediatric primary care medical homes across the region. Teaching residents and medical students is expected, so eligibility for appointment to the faculty at The Geisel School of Medicine is required, at a rank commensurate with experience and academic portfolio. Academic opportunities across Dartmouth's campuses include world-class traditional biomedical research, global health initiatives, and renowned leadership in quality improvement, outcome, and healthcare delivery sciences at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
The successful candidate will demonstrate academic potential. This individual will staff an ongoing Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic at CHaD and establish a Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic in Manchester. Consultation on inpatients at CHaD and coverage for infusion patients both sites will be expected.
