Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene / Cheshire Medical Center is currently seeking a Medical Director to lead and help build our Acute Care Psychiatric Services at our collegial and community-centered practices located in beautiful Keene, New Hampshire.
In this role, serving as Medical Director of Acute Care Psychiatric Services, you will work with the Chair of Psychiatry to build our acute care psychiatry services. You will provide psychiatric consultations to the ED and inpatient medical units and provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Cheshire Medical Center’s Doorway Department, which launched its Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in September 2020. You will work in coordination with the Doorway team and provide MAT psychiatric services to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health issues. Collaborating with an RN and clinical team, you will coordinate client care and assist with insurance pre-authorization, referrals, and caseload management. In addition, you will supervise psychiatric advanced practice providers in these areas.
