Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Department of Psychiatry, in a unique collaboration with the State of New Hampshire, seeks an Internal or Family Medicine Physician to serve as the Director of General Medical Services at New Hampshire Hospital, our affiliated state psychiatric facility, located in Concord, NH. 

In this role, the Director of General Medical Services will lead a department comprised of primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, responsible for the diagnosis and management of co-morbid medical problems among psychiatric patients. There are opportunities to become involved in research, including services research focused on development of innovative models for delivery of mental health care. 

The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician, enthusiastic teacher and leader, with strong interest and experience in Primary Care and Psychiatry.  Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Internal or Family Medicine. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the State of NH
