The Section of Otolaryngology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse, preferably with experience or advanced training in Otolaryngology. Working with the Otolaryngology faculty, the Advanced Practice Provider will be involved in the outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, and as needed in the operating room. Responsibilities will include providing care and education to patients with various otolaryngologic conditions in coordination with the attending physicians, performing various procedures in the office setting, assisting with surgical procedures, assisting with inpatient and emergency room consultations, and managing otolaryngology inpatients with the resident team.

Experience in office based procedures (flexible laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, otomicroscopy and other ear procedures, biopsies) is desired.  Subspecialty focus is a possibility depending on the needs of the section and the skillset of the applicant.

This is a full-time day shift position with some flexibility for a four-day work week if desired.

The ideal candidate should have interest in teaching, as educational responsibilities will include the training of PA residents as part of an established Otolaryngology PA residency program. A faculty appointment at the level of Instructor through The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested. Required Licensure/Certifications

Requirements for Physician Assistants:
Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New Hampshire. Academic preparation at the Master's level preferred.

Requirements for Nurse Practitioners:
RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in NH. Successful completion of an approved NP program. Master's level education required. Completion of Registered Nurse First Assist program required.
