Dartmouth Health is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Academic General Neurologist to join our growing Department of Neurology. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in patient care, medical education, and optional clinical research in a dynamic academic environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, educating the next generation of physicians, and contributing to the advancement of neurological research.
This is an outpatient position with generous appointment times and opportunities for a sub-specialty niche.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology care, including the evaluation and management of a broad spectrum of neurological conditions.
- Teach and mentor medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including quality improvement initiatives and academic publishing.
- Optional research opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various specialties to enhance patient care and medical education.
- Contribute to the expansion and improvement of neurology services within the department and affiliated institutions.
Ideal candidates should:
- Be BC/BE in Neurology by the ABMS or AOA
- Be passionate about quality patient care
- Have an active interest in academic pursuits
- Have participated in prior scholarly activities
