Academic Child Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth Health is seeking an Academic Child Psychiatrist to join its faculty at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center located in beautiful northern New England.
In this role, you will have two main components. First, you will serve as the Medical Director responsible for clinical care, administrative oversight and program development for a new program enhancing the care of children and adults with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program is envisioned to be highly collaborative and requires enhancement of close working relationships with community based care teams, designated agencies and the larger system of care. Development and delivery of training and education for clinicians and staff caring for the IDD population is also included. Additionally, opportunities for research, advocacy and health policy development will be available.
The second part of this role you will have additional responsibilities based in the child psychiatry clinical services at the Academic Medical Center. Direct clinical care, supervision of training clinics for child psychiatry trainees and residents in psychiatry will be included.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and enthusiastic teacher, with strong interest and experience in caring for individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Psychiatry and fellowship trained in Child Psychiatry. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.
